How We Are Paid
On receiving an enquiry we visit a prospective client for a preliminary meeting. The purpose of the meeting is firstly to establish whether we are able to assist with the prospective clients needs and objectives and secondly to discuss how we would be paid for our services should we be instructed to proceed. This meeting is at our own expense and there is no obligation on either side.
After the initial consultation, we charge for our advice by way of an initial fee or agree an amount to be deducted from your investment premium(s) prior to its investment and an on-going service (or trail) fee.
Currently our firm does not charge VAT.
To ensure that you are always fully aware of our advice costs and how and when you are going to be asked to pay for this, we will always confirm this verbally and in writing asking for your agreement by signing our fee arrangement.
Generally we will ask you to pay for our services at the end of the advice process.
It is possible for you to agree to pay for our advice by way of a deduction of our fee from the investment amount sent to a fund manager or provider prior to its investment. Our typical initial fee is up to 3% and the actual fee will depend on the complexity of the work undertaken and will be confirmed to you in our fee agreement prior to any work being undertaken.
There will also be on-going fees, dependent on the service level clients have selected and the fee is paid to us by the provider. The actual fee will vary depending upon how the investment performs and it will increase as the fund grows. We will provide you with information regarding the costs at least annually to help you understand the overall cost and cumulative effect on the return of the investment.
For mortgage advice we will charge a minimum fee of £500. This will be offset against any fees we receive from the lender. This fee will be payable upon receipt of a satisfactory mortgage offer and is non refundable.
Your home may be repossessed if you do not keep up repayments on your mortgage.
